Documentary films

In order to propose corrrect information on the difficulties and resources of Africa, Amani produced the following documentary films:

Nuba
"I Nuba del Sudan" is the title of the film presented in Milano in 1996, describing the genocide of the Nuba people. The documentary film is available at Amani’s head office.

"Un genocidio invisibile, il Dramma dei Nuba" by Camillo Piccoli and Patrick Soave Telepace, Cmd, Cum., 1999. A documentary film on the dramatic situation of the civilian population on the Nuba Mountains and on the difficulties met by the humanitarian aid addressed to such area.

"Nuba. Voices from the other side" by Tomo Kriznar, Radiotelevizija Slovenija Educational Program, 2001. Documentary film in English on a mission of humanitarian aid in Southern Kordofan, on the war going on in that area, on forced islamization, on the oil issue, on the slavery.

To approach the African culture
"Nairobi. Africa dimenticata", produced and shot by Alberto Biondetti and Alessio Spillari, 2000-2001. Short journey with Father Kizito among difficulties, resources, contradictions of Africa and of Nairobi, through the hystory and culture of the African Continent.

Street Children
"Koinonia. La casa dei bambini di strada", 1995-1996… they are the most cruel image of the indigence and the abandonment, tangible sign of the world insanity, and yet, when they smile, a very hopeful world appears. They are the Nairobi “street children”. In Koinonia they found a home…
The documentary film describes the origin and the development of the educational project Koinonia in Nairobi, the one that, later, became Kivuli. The documentary film is available at Amani’s head office.

"Kivuli. A difesa dei bambini di strada", 1999, it’s a 15 minutes’ film on Kivuli Centre for the street children, for the young, and for the families of the area, situatued in Riruta area, one of the Nairobi slums. The documentary film is available at Amani’s head offic.
