this Sunday the Kutoka Network offers the possibility to the World Social Forum
participants to meet the communities in the slums. The
WSF delegates are invited to share the mass with the community and to enjoy an
activity with them. Each community will present a different activity. To
facilitate how to reach the place, there is a contact person for every place,
willing to explain to you the road and to accompany you. CHRIST

AFTER
THE Mass, the community will present different activities to allow the visitors
to get to know their reality: poems, songs, drama, presentation of the activities

CROSS, DANDORA - Discussion on: HIV AND AIDS DAY 11.00 a.m.Mass
at 11am followed by activities on HIV and AIDS, food delivered to the HIV positive

Mass will be followed by activities organized by the youth and the Justice &

LADY OF GUADALUPE, ADAMS ARCADE (CLOSE TO KIBERA) - Discussion
on: OVERCOMING TRIBALISM AND VIOLENCE, PEACE BUILDING AND RECONCILIATION and YOUTH
FESTIVALThis
parish will have masses at different hours and in different sub-parishes. Main
Church, Adams Arcade (Ngong Road) 11,30am (in English); Kianda slum:
10am; Makina slum: 7.30am; Olympic slum: 10am. In the parish
and in all sub-parishes visitors are welcome and everywhere there will be entertainment
activities and in Olympic sub-parish there will be a youth festival. Contact

HEART, BABA DOGO - Discussion on: YOUTH & WOMEN DAY 11AMMeeting
at 11 am for the mass. After the mass the community will be opened to the visitors
who wish to get to know them. Youth groups and Catholic Women Associations will

at the WSF venue in Kasarani, Moi International Sport Centre, organized by Kutoka
together with Land and Housing Coalition, and many other partners from all over
the world.
23rd
January DECENTRALISED WORKSHOPS ON SLUM ISSUES from 9 to 12 amFrom
9am to 12am, there are seven workshops in seven different areas related to the
slums. KUTOKA has organized them with Land and Housing Coalition, and other groups.
The aim of these seminars is to bring the slums at the WSF, as well as to bring
the WSF into the slums. Therefore those activities will be held in the communities
of the slums. SLUM

January GLOBAL PLANNING FOR ACTIONNetworking
for future action plan and building common strategies together with all the organizations
in the world dealing with the same Kutoka issues.
25th
January, 8.00am. MARATHON FOR BASIC RIGHTS THROUGH THE SLUMS The
marathon will pass through several Nairobi's slums to reach Uhuru Park and join
the closing ceremony of the WSF. It will be one of the main closing events of
the WSF. There
will be the possibility of participating running and walking. Departure
on Thursday 25th at 8.00am from St. john Catholic Church, Korogocho. The length
will be 15 km and the cost to register and get the t-shirt will be 10 Ksh. To
